If yes, then join us at Girls STEM Summit – West/Central, hosted by Jr.Tech, Inc and our collaborating partner Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI), on Saturday, November 16, 2013 from 8:00 am – 4:00 pm.

During the summit we:

• Bring together 100 female students in grades 8 -12, who have expressed a strong interest in pursuing higher education careers in STEM fields, together with female STEM career professionals and educators for a full-day program.

• Provide hands-on sessions highlighting key STEM industries. Material will be presented in a way that makes STEM topics interesting, relevant to career paths, and approachable.

• Connect leading women working as experts in STEM fields with high school girls interested in pursuing higher education and careers.

IMG_3883• Enlighten and inspire the attendees to make educated decisions when faced with high school curriculum choices, and generate awareness of emerging STEM fields.

• Impact and bridge the gap between girls’ passion for the topics and helping them find their way to successful STEM careers.

• Fill an important gender gap in STEM jobs today.

• Students will enjoy a Keynote speaker, hands-on sessions on a variety of career tracks, networking with female role models, lunch, giveaways and so much more!

A testimonial from one of our attendees…

“Fantastic! I actually loved it. I want to be part of the small percentage of women that go into a male dominated career. This made my mind up to go into the science field.”
