Coastal Investigations!

Tuesday, July 15, 2008 to Thursday, July 17, 2008
Waquoit Bay National Estuarine Reserve, Waquoit, MA · 1:00PM - 4:30PM

You've been to the beach, but have you ever studied it? Do you like to get your feet wet and investigate the seashore? If so, this workshop is for you!

Tuesday, July 15 thru Thursday, July 17 • Entering Grades 6 - 8
Maximum Class Size: 12 students, snack only

Join us as we combine curiosity, computers, and clam digging to carry out coastal investigations! You will sample, observe, and record conditions at the shore as you learn how to take the “pulse” of the bay.  In teams, you will carry out short-term research projects and interpret results, then compare them with other regions.  Be prepared to get your feet wet and your creativity flowing!

PARENT INFO: Kids learn chemistry, geology, and physical science, while learning how coastal researchers work.
