JR.TECH provides an out-of-school mentor program, working with business, research, and educational communities in the science, engineering, technology, and mathematics (STEM) fields.

The JTM Program is a 3-tier approach:

A key role in the program, a volunteer mentor provides guidance and insight to their partnered student. He or she provides advice on course selections, goal setting, and potential higher education options and recommendations. A Mentor will invite a student to the workplace to “shadow” for a day. Monthly or quarterly communication with assigned student will take place along the way.

Our target audience is students who have a strong interest and aptitude in the STEM subjects. Students are identified and recommended through various channels such as the JR. TECH Workshop Program, participating high school administrators and teachers, and home school organizations and professionals.
